For the first years of my career, I was guilty of doing like all other French teachers...

I'd open the textbooks available out there to "teach" my students.

All those textbook were extremely boring...

They were all exact copies of each other.

They didn't know how to explain anything.

They didn't give students a fraction of the useful vocabulary they needed.

Not a single one of them explained the pronunciation patterns used by native speakers: how they drop many sounds in a sentence, which alters the sounds of the few words you might be able to recognize.

When I started teaching celebrities and began charging over $100/hour, I knew things had to change.

It is because approximately 80% of what you learn in all French courses out there is BESIDE THE POINT! (I mean it 100%)

1) The explanations you get for all grammar rules are always the same everywhere you look: vague and/or inaccurate theories.

2) Traditional French courses will waste your time on structures that are useless if not plain wrong, and won't teach you many useful structures that have simply never appeared in a book before.

3) The vocabulary you'll learn is always the same from course to course. It is too often archaic. You will never learn 80% of the useful vocabulary you would need in immersion (I know, I've been there myself!).

4) You will never learn a fraction of the useful idiomatic expressions & phrases that you need to function in French. They make up for about 20% of what we say everyday.

5) Last but not least, there is not a single French class that will teach you how the French naturally drop many sounds when speaking. They'll drop letters, syllables and entire words which will lead them to alter the sounds of many words. Unless you know those pronunciation patterns, French will always remain a completely foreign language to you. You might be able to read some of it at best, but you won't be able to understand the spoken word.

      I'm a complete beginner. Is this course right for me?
      Yes it is. You'll see that I start from the very beginning.

      I'm NOT a complete beginner. Do I have to go through all the beginners' lessons?
      No, you don't. The first video you'll see in level 1 will show you how to quickly skip to a more appropriate level.

      If I'm not a complete beginner, how do I know where to start?
      I will email you the lessons that should be a priority for intermediate & advanced learners keeping in mind the rest should not be disregarded. It is a course like no other, and all my students, regardless of their level, have something to learn in all lessons.

      H0w much of it do you recommend I do everyday?
      Everyone's different. There are fast learners and slow learners. Some are busy, some are not. As I always say, do as much as you want/can as long as you understand the concept I teach, you memorize at least 50% of the vocabulary I teach, and as long as you enjoy it. The moment you feel overwhelmed, take a break! My students watch the videos anywhere from 3 to 15 times. It can be consecutive, then they'll review everything at the end of a level, and then everything again at the end of the course.

      What's the difference between this course and other courses such as Duolingo, Rosetta Stone and similar programs (even college courses)?
      I've been asked that question a million times! I'm happy to say it has nothing to do with any other course. From my perspective, they're all more or less the same. You'll usually get the exact same information from one course to the next. All these courses are disconnected from the reality of the language from pronunciation (the way you read vs the way a native speaker blends sounds together, dropping letters, syllables and entire word sin the process) to grammar, vocabulary & idiomatic expressions. I explain all grammar points simply & make them crystal clear. I teach all useful vocabulary & idiomatic expressions as well as all speech registers you will hear from the French. I don't teach random vocabulary. It's all well thought out. At least 80% to 90% of what I teach in this course will be new information to anyone.
